The 28-year-old player has played for clubs like Mohun Bagan and teams in ISL like Mumbai City FC. There’s no refuting the fact that Majumder is the best player in Atletico de Kolkata’s defensive unit and deserves a place on the national team.

Delhi Dynamos FC midfielder Kean Lewis has been the best domestic attacking player in ISL 2016. Also known as the “Fox in the Box” Lewis has not only been an entertaining package but also has been one of the team’s more unpredictable players.The most consistent performer in this edition of ISL, the 24-year-old Lewis has been nothing short of a sensation. With 4 goals and 2 assists this season, Lewis has been the second-highest Indian scorer in ISL 2016 and thanks to his outstanding performance the country and the world will remember his name.

Atletico de Kolkata’s Prabir Das has made a real impact on his hometown club. A true find of ISL 2016, Das has put in some remarkable defensive plays, particularly against Delhi Dynamos. His great performance throughout the season shows promise and he is certainly one for the future.

This Manipuri footballer has honed his skills in the youth academies of Air India, Tata Football Academy and Mahindra United. Popularly known as Sana, this 20-year-old talented player shows tremendous promise with his defensive plays and his performance at the Manchester United Premier Cup in 2010.

5. Jerry Lalrinzuala (Chennaiyin FC)

Even though he couldn’t play the semi-finals with Chennaiyin FC, 18-year-old Jerry Lalrinzuala has a promising career in football ahead of him because his superb play this ISL season could pave the way for him to become one of the country’s best sporting talents.Lalrinzuala impressed coach Marco Materazzi with his brilliant defensive play. He scored a sublime free-kick to open the scoring against FC Goa, thus displaying the diversity of skills he possessed. With 29 tackles, winning 6 aerial duels and making 16 interceptions this season, Lalrinzuala has risen to be one of India’s top-notch football players.
