When carefully taking the time to hear the sharp cries of the needed, stigmas certainly play a burdensome role in youth deviation as they postulate unceasing ideas of misplacement, misshape and contempt. After contemplating the complex lack of dialogue and mobility among different social spheres, summed to misrepresentation in routines and macro communities dominium, it is not long until enormous population huddles are found in situations of neglect and severe abandonment from public policies, authority efforts and social cooperation.
As global civilians, rooted on an understanding of global brotherhood, we must understand that independently of socioeconomic power, individuals detain needs and wants that shape behavioral nuances. Be it in accordance or discordance with the law, deviation does not diagnose human’s worthiness and goodness but, perhaps, it evidences who, in a complex social structure, holds the most adequate means to achieve or satisfy given aspirations. A crucial point to be taken into consideration when analyzing 21st century’s dynamics is the undeniable influence inflicted by media corporations, vehicles and figures in the longings, desires and afflictions of the general public; what is broadcast today affects everyone indistinctly, regardless of their ability – or inability – to soothe cries of need and ambitions.
Deviation, therefore, is deeply and intricately tangled with the concept of marginalization which intimately drinks from the streams of poverty and social exclusion from resources available in a given structure; structure, this, that promotes the existence and maintenance of a functional dependency of people for the sake of the plain survival of the system. Inequality and misery exist because the greedy hands of major economy allegories feed from their insalubrious labor force, salty tears and shed blood.
Individuals who are found in marginalized prospects have little or absolute no influence played in the dynamics of policy making which are commonly projected from the top of the opulent ivory towers in central cultural and power positions.
As one allows themselves to join the adventurous journey of reading communities with an empathic eye, it is possible to understand that social exclusion promotes poverty and articulates the casting of its gloomy shadows over the faces of civilians, further legitimatizing the sorrowful practice of stigmatization on a dictatorial regime of segregation between the center and periphery – understandable as a grievous metaphor as well as a tactile and tangible reality. Peripheral panoramas are those qualified by the restricted bearings in which marginalized representation facets of societies and cultures are doomed to exist in forsaken compasses of inequity, injustice and sponsored dependency and malfunction.
The unceasing desire to belong to central social spheres, understandable as a simple and human craving for safety and stability, may breed deviation as individuals endemic from domes of decay strive with reduced eloquence and flexibility to make their way into the center. The desire to be represented in honesty and profundity, as all human beings should be, in equality and justice burns in the hearts of people who, for generations, live daily threats of annihilation and feuds.
The stages of society that are privileged enough to orchestrate the rules and norms, in a general effort of maintaining its prominent status of favor and authority, even when only apparently, choose to, in an inhumane practice of segregation, dictate strategies in which individuals are sentenced to live in darkness and collective atrophy.
Here is where a change must be proposed. It is a duty of all who bear the knowledge carried by the weeping of the forgotten to aid human kind in the journey towards social justice and sustainable development. A human who falls in unattended sickness attests an infirmity by which humanity is stricken as a whole.
