LIVE updates: The total number of Covid-19 cases in India has reached 3,082, and 86 people have died, according to Johns Hopkins University. The Maharashtra tally of Covid-19 cases is now at 490 — the highest in the country. A top US scientist has, meanwhile, warned that the new coronavirus could be spread even through normal breathing, fuelling recommendations that everyone should wear masks, even as several nations are posting record death tolls.
Coronavirus world update: Globally, the virus continues to wreak havoc as the figure of infected people has risen to 1,117,787. The highest number of cases was reported from the US at 277,161 (7,392 deaths) as the global death toll surpassed 59,197. Italy has 119,827 confirmed cases an 14,681 Covid-related deaths. Death toll in Spain has also crossed the 10,000-mark and the country has 119,199 positive cases.

Rajasthan coronavirus: 60-yr-old corona positive woman dies; 17 new cases reported

A 60-year-old coronavirus positive woman having no travel history died at a hospital in Rajasthan’s Bikaner on Saturday as the state reported 17 fresh positive cases, taking the tally to 196, an official said. Of the new cases, eight can be linked to the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi in mid-March, he said. “A 60-year-old woman admitted at a government hospital (PBM Hospital) at Bikaner for last four days died today. Coronavirus: Nestle announces Rs 15 crore grant
