Last year in December, Realme launched its first truly wireless earbuds in India. A few weeks back, the company unveiled its first Realme fitness band. The brand is also soon expected to take the wraps off its first smartwatch as well as a Realme smart TV. While the design of the wearable was recently teased by Realme, the details about the upcoming Realme TV are quite minimal. Thankfully, the television has now been spotted on the BIS certification website, giving us some information.
The latest BIS listing suggests that the Realme TV will launch with a 43-inch LED panel. The company is expected to offer this Android TV in other sizes as well, including the 55-inch OLED panel. The smart TV is reportedly listed with model number JSC55LSQL. Twitter user @Stufflistings initially spotted the listing. Realme India’s CEO Madhav Sheth has already revealed that its first-ever smart TV will arrive in the second quarter of 2020.
Realme is expected to launch its smart TV in late April, as per previous reports. Ahead of the official launch, more details are expected to surface on the web. While Sheth didn’t reveal any features, he did mention that the Android TV can be controlled via a Realme Link app. Once launched, the Realme TV would compete against Xiaomi, which already has several TV models in the country along with OnePlus.
Besides, Huawei will also be focussing on its next big product category-Smart TVs. The brand will reportedly be unveiling a Smart TV on April 8. The company recently shared a teaser for the same, which also happens to be the first official look at the Huawei TV. The teaser hinted that the TV will feature a big pop-up module similar to what we saw on the Honor Smart TV. The size of the pop-up unit could point to the presence of a soundbar and a front camera unit. The TV also features very thin bezels on the sides.
