Original Delhi: The Editors Guild of India on Thursday termed as “reprehensible” the separate incidents of assault on journalists in Delhi and Bengaluru and demanded that police authorities have to quick purchase needed steps to provoke movement against the guilty in both the conditions.

In a statement, the guild “unequivocally condemned” the recent assaults on journalists while they had been on accountability.

“Three journalists working with The Caravan had been allegedly assaulted while they had been in northeast Delhi’s North Ghonda neighbourhood on 11 August to picture on a complainant in the recent communal violence case in the capital,” the guild said.

They also grunt they had been subjected to communal slurs, threatened with extinguish and sexually pressured, it alleged.
