Srisailam energy plant fire: At the very least 10 feared trapped in Telangana blaze; rescue ops underway

 

At the very least 10 of us are feared trapped after a fireplace broke out at one of many gadgets of a hydroelectric energy place in Telangana’s Srisailam plant  unhurried Thursday evening, per several media reports.

In step with ANI, 10 of us had been rescued, of which six are under therapy at a sanatorium in Srisailam.

As per The Hindu, rescue operations are underway to construct workers stuck contained within the multi-floor energy residence on the left canal of the project which fits to Telangana.

The improbable-attempting canal meets the irrigation requirements of Andhra Pradesh.

Telangana vitality minister G Jagadish Reddy said that the mishap occurred within the critical unit of the energy place and four panels were damaged.

He added a thick smoke that had engulfed the unit prevented fire combating operation. A workers of Nationwide Catastrophe Response Force (NDRF) too joined the rescue operations.

The Srisailam dam is found throughout the Krishna river which serves as the border between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
