Delhi Police registers FIR in opposition to YouTuber for allegedly dishonest ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ proprietor


The Delhi Police on Friday registered a case in opposition to YouTuber Gaurav Wasan for allegedly misappropriating funds obtained as a donation for the proprietor of ‘Baba Ka Dhaba, an eatery in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.

Kanta Prasad (80), the proprietor of the eatery, had shot to reputation after a video of him tearfully recounting the desperation of the months since the lockdown used to be shot by Wasan and shared broadly across social media platforms now now not too long within the past.

Wasan, on the different hand, denied the allegations.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Atul Kumar Thakur said, “After we obtained a criticism, a preliminary enquiry used to be completed and an FIR used to be registered below allotment 420 (dishonest and dishonestly inducing supply of property) of Indian Penal Code and an investigation has been initiated.”
