New Delhi: Varinderpal Singh, an agriculture scientist from Punjab Agricultural College, has refused to impartial decide up fertiliser industry body FAI’s golden jubilee award in strengthen of farmers’ ongoing dispute against recent farm rules.

Varinderpal Singh used to be a joint winner of the Fertiliser Affiliation of India (FAI) Golden Jubilee Award for Excellence for the most productive work done in the discipline of plant weight loss plan. The award entails Rs 2 lakh cash, gold medal, and citation.

FAI’s Director-Total Satish Chander confirmed that Singh refused to impartial decide up the award all by its annual characteristic held on Monday.

“It used to be no longer moral on his piece, having reach the total skill, to refuse to impartial decide up this academic award,” Chander told PTI.

There had been a total of 34 awards all by varied categories, he added.

Minister of Declare for Chemicals and Fertilisers Mansukh Lal Mandaviya used to be show veil on the award characteristic.

Singh, who’s a Major Soil Chemist, Department of Soil Science, Punjab Agricultural College, also apologised for no longer accepting the award.
